Abstract

Alejandro Loeza Zaldívar, a renowned researcher of Golden Age Spanish literature, provides a brief overview of the works of Pedro Calderón, Lope de Vega, and Tirso de Molina. The author uses it, as well as the theological teachings of the Renaissance humanist Pedro Mexía, to elaborate on the concept of human nature and its changes under the influence of religion, philosophy and humanism.
