Abstract
The fifth volume of Complete Critical Works of Stepan Shevyryov comprises publications for the 1846–1854 years. We will look at the book and, inter alia, we will look at the publications, devoted to painting and art. The book contains descriptions of works of art which are unaccessible today and therefore may interest art historians as well as historians of critical thought.
