Novalis’s poetics and worldview have repeatedly attracted the attention of researchers. However, the blue flower as a symbolic centre not only of Novalis’s artistic system, but also of his philosophical poetology, has not yet, to our knowledge, become a subject of study. Meanwhile, it is the realisation of the close interaction between philosophy and artistic worldview in Novalis that allows us to come closer to understanding how a private author’s image became a transcultural symbol.
