Abstract

The article discusses and quotes previously unpublished letters from V.M. Mikhailov (1811 – about 1890) to P.V. Annenkov, which contains information about the worldview and circumstances of the death of Prince P.A. Vyazemsky, about Mikhailov’s conversations with Princess V.F. Vyazemskaya and about individual representatives of the Russian colony of Baden-Baden in the second half of the 1870s. Based on the data obtained, the German-language obituary of Vyazemsky, printed without a signature in “Badeblatt für die Grossherzoglische Stadt Baden”, is attributed to Mikhailov and its full text is given.
