Abstract

The comparative analysis of four translations of E.A. Poe’s Eldorado into Russian made by Valery Bryusov, Konstantin Balmont, Vladimir Rogov and Nadezhda Volpin is the main content of this article and reveals some particular properties of different interpretations of the concepts of space and time and the image of the hero in the Poe’s poem.
