Abstract
In her monograph Yu.U. Matenova notes the importance of dialogue of cultures, explores the work of a little-studied modern French writer E.-E. Schmitt in the context of various literary and cultural phenomena of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, including not only French and French-speaking literature, but more broadly – English, American, German, Russian, Belarusian, Uzbek literary texts, where “otherness” is interpreted, the “other” is depicted.
