The subject of the article is the first novel by an English writer A.D. Miller (b. 1974, London) – Snowdrops, which had a success and was immediately shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize (2011). It begins as a love story but in the course of events, which take place in Moscow in the early 2000s, becomes a criminal and sociopsychological drama.
