The fallacy of this opinion becomes especially clear, when analyzing My Memoirs by Dumas. His memoirs not only include historical documents, describe real events of the writer’s childhood and youth, but also create a reliable picture of the sociopolitical and literary life in France in the first third of the nineteenth century.
