Dutch scholar Peter Liebregts explores an understudied topic in the Ezra Pound studies: how the poetʼs translations of Sophocles’ tragedies Elektra and Women of Thrachis influenced his other works. The author analyzes E. Poundʼs aesthetical and translation strategies basing both on previously unpublished documents and manuscripts as well as his literary criticism and Cantos.
