Thomas Mann (1875–1955) wrote his «novel of the epoch» «Doctor Faustus» (1947) living in USA during the Second World War while inevitable approaching of the «German catastrophe» and soon after it. The conference reports consider this text in various sociocultural contexts and interdisciplinary perspectives including musicological. The philosophical, aesthetic, thematic and theoretical-literary relevance of this literary text today was reliably demonstrated.
