Y.V. Drunina’s lyric poems of wartime: the author and the character.

Abstract

The review discusses the peculiar psychological makeup of the autobiographical «lyrical ego» in Y.V. Drunina poetry, which includes nostalgic feelings for the life in the combat zone, the infraction of the traditional gender attitudes (man as a warrior, woman as his devoted helpmate) and the «awful fear for Russia» in the early 1990s.
